The decision to establish a research commission on earthquakes was published in the Official Gazette

The TBMM decision regarding the establishment of the Parliamentary Investigation Commission regarding the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş was published in the Official Gazette. Accordingly, it was decided to open a Parliamentary investigation in accordance with Articles 98 of the Constitution and 104 and 105 of the Internal Regulations in order to investigate all aspects of the results of the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, to establish an earthquake-resistant building stock and to determine the measures to be taken to increase the effectiveness of urban transformation practices. According to the decision, the working terms of the commission, which will consist of 21 members, were determined as 3 months starting from the date of the election of the president, vice president, spokesperson and secretary. The members of the commission will be able to work outside Ankara when necessary.
