Anti-dumping measures on polyester yarn imports

It was decided to implement definitive measures against dumping against polyester yarn imports originating from South Korea and Vietnam. The Communiqué on Prevention of Unfair Competition in Imports prepared by the Ministry of Trade was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force. The Communiqué put into effect the decision taken as a result of the completion of the dumping investigation initiated against the product "others, polyesters" originating from South Korea and Vietnam and conducted by the General Directorate of Imports. As a result of the investigation, it was determined that the import of the product in question was dumped and caused damage to the domestic production sector. With the decision of the Unfair Competition in Imports Assessment Board that evaluated the findings and the approval of the Minister of Trade, it was decided to implement definitive measures against dumping against the import of the goods in question to Turkey. Accordingly, definitive measures against dumping will be implemented for polyester yarn imports from South Korea at a rate of 8 to 14.45 percent of the CIF price, depending on the company, and for imports from Vietnam at a rate of 37.54 percent of the CIF price for all manufacturers and importers.
