Daily case numbers in China break record

On November 23, 31,444 new cases were detected in China. The daily number of cases in the COVID-19 outbreak in China broke a record. 31,444 new cases were detected on November 23. 3,927 of these cases showed symptoms. On April 13, the number of COVID-19 cases broke a record with 29,317. 509 new cases showing symptoms were identified in the capital Beijing, 428 in Guangzhou, and 409 in Chongqing. Larry Hu, Chief Economist for China at Australian bank Macquarie, stated that due to the increasing number of Covid cases in China, it has become very difficult for the government to reach zero Covid without returning to strict lockdown measures.
