The number of paid employees increased by 7.4 percent in October

The number of paid employees in the industry, construction and trade-services sectors increased by 7.4 percent in October compared to the same month last year. The Turkish Statistical Institute published the paid employee statistics for October. Accordingly, the number of paid employees in the industry, construction and trade-services sectors, which was 13 million 861 thousand 65 people in October of last year, increased by 7.4 percent in the same month this year to 14 million 883 thousand 717 people. In the month in question, the number of paid employees increased by 6.2 percent annually in the industry sector, 5.3 percent in the construction sector and 8.5 percent in the trade-services sector. The number of paid employees in the industry, construction and trade-services sectors increased by 0.5 percent in October compared to September. During this period, the number of paid employees increased by 0.2 percent in the industry sector, 1 percent in construction and 0.5 percent in the trade-services sector on a monthly basis.
