New international resource with a sustainability theme from VakıfBank, amounting to 400 million Euros VakıfBank has realized a new secured funding transaction based on sustainability criteria, obtained from abroad, amounting to 400 million Euros. The 2-year maturity transaction stands out as the largest consistent sustainability-themed secured funding agreement among Turkish banks. VakıfBank, the Turkish bank with the largest sustainable-themed resources in its funding structure, has signed a new agreement while creating products and services specific to the needs of every segment of society through the resources it provides. VakıfBank’s new transaction, amounting to 400 million Euros and a 2-year maturity, obtained from international sources, based on sustainability criteria, is the largest amount secured funding agreement among Turkish banks. VakıfBank General Manager Abdi Serdar Üstünsalih, who stated that as a bank that places the sustainability approach at the center of all banking strategies, they create a very wide environmental and social impact area through the loans they provide to the real sector and that they are aware of their responsibilities in this sense, said, “In addition to a strong financial performance, our aim to reduce our direct and indirect carbon footprint and the steps we take in the field of sustainable financing are always at the top of our agenda. In the coming period, we will continue to evaluate alternatives to increase the share of sustainable financing-based borrowing transactions in our total international funding.”
