TPAO's two oil exploration licenses extended

The term of Turkish Petroleum Corporation's (TPAO) oil exploration licenses covering an area of 87 thousand 985 hectares in Istanbul, Tekirdağ, and Adana has been extended by two years. The relevant decision of the General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources was published in the Official Gazette. Accordingly, it was decided to extend the term of TPAO's license covering an area of 60 thousand 374 hectares in Adana from May 11, 2023 to May 11, 2025, and the term of its license covering an area of 27 thousand 611 hectares in Istanbul and Tekirdağ provinces from May 26, 2023 to May 26, 2025.
