New name appointed as head of China's Central Bank

The new governor of the People's Bank of China is scheduled to be Pan Gongsheng. According to the Wall Street Journal, the Chinese government plans to appoint Pang Gongsheng as the new governor of the People's Bank of China. Pan has served as the Vice Governor of the People's Bank of China since 2012 and was appointed as the Communist Party Chief of the People's Bank of China before being appointed as Governor. The decision was announced by the Central Organization Department of the Communist Party of China.
